Hydranautics Introduces a new Nanofilter for Color Removal

Oceanside, CA…Hydranautics, the world's leader in membrane technology, has developed an innovative chlorine tolerant spiral wound HYDRACoRe membrane for Color Removal. HYDRACoRe operates at high specific flux, has high removal efficiency of organics and colloidal constituents while allowing most salts to pass. HYDRACoRe elements can produce more water per membrane area at lower feed pressure while eliminating the need to re-mineralize product water.

Each HYDRACoRe 8" element will produce 8,200 gallons per day at 75 psi. HYDRACoRe is 100 times more tolerant to chlorine than standard polyamide membranes, allowing the system to be disinfected to rid it of biological growth. Because of HYDRACoRe's high tolerance, it eliminates the need to dechlorinate prior to membrane filtration, thereby reducing pretreatment requirements.
