Hydranautics Offers new Flush Cut Element Design with LFC and SWC4 Membranes |
Oceanside, CA…Hydranautics, the
global leader in membrane technology now offers the LFC (low fouling composite)
and SWC4 (seawater composite) membranes in the all-new flush cut design.
The new anti-telescoping device (ATD) used on these two element types provide
more active membrane area with improved face-to-face contact giving more
uniform distribution of hydraulic loads. The new ATD retains Hydranautics'
signature perforated face plate which protects the membrane from large particulate
damage. The distinctive ivory color spiral configuration lends itself to
uniform water distribution across the face of the element.
The SWC4, the newest member of the seawater composite line of products, was designed to provide higher salt rejection at elevated seawater temperatures with increased boron rejection. Higher rejections make it ideal for use at RO/power hybrid plants because the SWC4 membranes provide suitable water quality at high temperatures thus eliminating the need for separate seawater intake systems. Hydranautics' line of LFC (low fouling composite) membranes also uses the new flush cut element design. The LFC product offering includes the neutrally charged hydrophilic LFC1 membrane, which is ideal for municipal wastewater applications, and the neutrally charged, high rejection LFC3 membrane. The LFC technology is characterized by a neutral surface charge and hydrophilic membrane surface characteristic. Hydranautics' innovative flush cut design for the
LFC product line and the new SWC4 is yet another example of the broad
array of products and services available from the technology leader. For
